The Origin Story
From Reno to Washington
The Dr.Decks story began in 1991. At 21 years old, Jason moved from Reno, Nevada, back to his home state of Washington with his then-girlfriend (and now wife), Kiki. Building decks was the only thing Jason knew in his bones, and he knew he wanted to do it his way.
With a small starting budget, and a name brilliantly coined by Kiki, Dr.Decks was born. Since that day, it’s been a family-owned operation built on grit, passion, and a refusal to settle for just good enough.
The Credentials (No Stethoscope Required)
Jason’s education didn't happen in a lecture hall. He graduated from the school of hard knocks, earning his stripes through decades of hands-on labor. He often jokes that he holds multiple PHDs—Post Hole Diggers, that is!
But don't let the jokes fool you; the precision is real. Every project is backed by high-tech 3D design planning and built by a fully licensed and bonded team.

When he’s not bending boards or designing 3D models, Jason lives life at full throttle. You can find him out on his motorcycle, hitting the water on a stand-up jetski, or hunting for the next addition to his Chrome Hearts collection. And as a true craftsman, his obsession extends to his gear. He’s a world-class cordless power tool collector, ensuring he always has the best tech to get the job done.
